Workgroup on Context and scientific Content
The workgroup aims at identifying the driving forces that trigger climate change impact and adaptation research and the critical players interacting in this process. The process acting between the driving forces and the CIRCLE programmes is rather complicated (see figure).
Stakeholders play a critical role in the definition of data and scenario’s and the risk analysis process. They influence and are influenced by the adaptation strategies and they play a crucial role in different CIRCLE programmes. Hence, interactions between stakeholders and researchers are not one-way directed. Both groups are part of a knowledge process, in which researchers are in the centre. The COCO group results play an important role in identifying the areas in which projects will be funded by CIRCLE.
